He is also much more worried that super-intelligent AI systems will eliminate the human species than I am.

I was about to do sth for a first time and skip sth you put out(think most content regarding AI right now is wild speculation and will be mostly uselessine a year or two), but this line

convinced me, somehow smart people arguing in good faith is too charming for my ape brain.

Why assume that the AI got it wrong when said that Occupy was about cognitive inequality. ? Where does economic inequality come from? Yeah the rich get richer. But that was exacerbated by the new work effects of new big tech and maybe it exacerbates cognitive inequality. So maybe Occupy was also a class thing and a species thing where in a societal level we are seeing subspecies

It can tuck your kids into bed. There are robots deployed in hospitals that can physically tend to patients. Give it a couple of years

Great discussion! (I especially liked Henry's points about how it'll take time to adjust to the capabilities we have, and figure out how best to fit AI into our workflows since it can't be relied upon entirely generally, etc.)
